It’s official – Canada’s rising creative stars are bringing hardware home from Cannes!
After a fierce and intense competition, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has announced its 2025 Young Lions winners– and Team Canada made a powerful showing across the board.
Gold in Design. Bronze in Media. Shortlisted in Film and Marketers.
This year’s Canadian Young Lions teams not only impressed global juries – they made the country proud on the world’s biggest creative stage.
DESIGN – GOLD
In the Design category, Jesse Shaw and Zoë Boudreau from Rethink captured Gold for their compelling visual identity for the Museum of Art and Photography India – disrupting assumptions about comics and culture.

MEDIA – BRONZE
In Media Samuel David-Durocher and Tristan Bonnot-Parent of Cossette Media earned Bronze for their innovative campaign bringing awareness to Ovarian Cancer Action. The Media category in Canada is proudly sponsored by Snap Inc. in Canada.

MARKETERS – Shortlist
Recognized with a Shortlist in the Marketers competition with a powerful brand strategy concept for The Braille Institute was Suzanne Liu from Uber and Arielle Uwonkunda of Molson Coors Beverage Company. The Marketers category in Canada is sponsored by Interac.
FILM – Shortlist
In Film, Alexandre Pépin, from LG2 and Nicolas Robert of Carton Rouge, earned a shortlist spot for their poignant 60-second ad created for World Ovarian Cancer Day – completed within 48 hours.
PR Category
In the PR competition, Cara von Ende and Reagan Sullivan of No Fixed Address were challenged to develop an innovative strategy on behalf of Bee:wild. Their brief: inspire city mayors to transform urban areas into pollinator hubs by reframing rewilding and tapping into the power of competitive momentum. The PR category in Canada is proudly sponsored by Edelman Canada.

Digital Category
In the Digital competition, teammates Anna Ira, Tadiem and Elyssa Biringer from Super Proper tackled a brief from Bee:wild, which challenged teams to build a digital-led campaign that harnessed both platform and technology. The goal: to tap into their Gen Z experience and help make wild bees famous through education and collective action.

Print Category
In the Print competition, Laurent Tremblay and Victor Pierre both with Rethink were challenged to produce a stand-out, captivating and unique print ad. This year’s brief was provided by Bee:wild and challenged competitors to promote collective purpose and action in efforts to rewild spaces and encourage the return of all bees to ecosystems.

With over 450 competitors from 67 countries, 2025 was a banner year for the Young Lions Competitions – and again Canada proved it can hold its own with the best creative minds from around the globe.
