Amplifying voices
Our mission
The Globe and Mail’s mission has always been to deliver the essential content – news, information, analysis and insights – for aspiring individuals and strong communities.
As a media company, we have a unique responsibility to shape the conversation around Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility in Canada. We aim to reflect diverse perspectives, address issues of inclusion, and spotlight inequalities.
We recognize the challenges faced by Canadian organizations that are equity-seeking or equity-serving when it comes to entering this space. With this action-oriented, high-impact initiative, we aim to strengthen community ties by partnering with organizations that share our commitment to fostering diverse perspectives.
With our influence, we aim to amplify the awareness and fundraising efforts of organizations that may otherwise not have access to marketing opportunities, and strive for a Canada that is inclusive, sustainable and united.

Making an impact
Friends of Ruby supports two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and all gender non-conforming youth (aged 16-29) by providing free counselling, housing and social services.
How we helped
Our collaboration included targeted digital and print advertising with a clear call-to-action, helping to amplify their #GrowWithPride message. In total, they accessed $100k worth of resources throughout the year to drive awareness and donations.
Friends of Ruby is grateful for The Globe and Mail’s support. We value their generosity in helping us to #GrowWithPride, raise awareness during PRIDE month, and continue to support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in need.
THE FRIENDS OF RUBY TEAM
Nia Centre for the Arts is a Toronto-based not-for-profit organization that supports, showcases and promotes an appreciation of arts from across the African Diaspora.
How we helped
Our partnership with Nia Centre for the Arts helped increase awareness of its programming across the GTA, strengthen donor connections, and refine its brand story. Over the year, Nia Centre for the Arts accessed $72k in resources, including a print and digital campaign and a custom consultation from The Globe and Mail’s Globe Content Studio to help the Nia Centre unlock their next chapter.
We are so grateful to The Globe and Mail for their generous media sponsorship over the past year. As a charitable organization with limited resources for marketing, this type of support is truly invaluable. It has allowed us to share our story with new audiences, expand visibility for the impact that Nia Centre has in the community, and benefit from the thoughtful expertise of Globe Studios, which helped us sharpen our strategy and think more intentionally about how we connect with our communities. This partnership has not only elevated our organization but also strengthened our ability to champion Black artistic expression on a national stage.
