Cannes Lions Canadian Shortlist Jury 2025: Six Canadian industry leaders named to Shortlist Cannes juries

Hot on the heels of announcing the Canadian Cannes Lions awarding jurors for 2025, The Globe and Mail, Canada’s official representative for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, is pleased to announce the Canadian Cannes Lions shortlist jurors for 2025. The shortlist jury conducts the first round of judging virtually in advance of the festival.

Canada’s 2025 Shortlist Jurors are:

Audio & Radio: Athina Afton Lalljee | Creative Director, McCann

Direct: Andrea Cook | CEO, JAM CRM

Film: Alexis Bronstorph, Chief Creative Officer | No Fixed Address Inc.

Health & Wellness: Curtis Westman | Creative Director, FCB Health Canada, an IPG Health Company

Media: Brooke Leland | President, Mekanism Media Canada

Outdoor: Anne-Claude Chénier | Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Cossette East

“We’re pleased to announce the appointment of these Canadian leaders as Cannes Lions shortlist jurors,” says Andrew Saunders, President and CEO at The Globe and Mail and Chair of the Canadian Cannes Lions Advisory Board. “Their essential role in shaping the competition’s landscape and advancing exceptional creative work will greatly contribute to Canada’s presence on the global stage, as they share their unique perspectives and experiences in the jury rooms”.

Each year, in consultation with the Canadian Cannes Advisory Board, The Globe and Mail submits a juror nomination list comprised of Canada’s industry leaders with Cannes Lions making the final selection. Juries are carefully selected to ensure global representation with a balance of agency, network, holding company, independents, gender, and diversity.

As the official Canadian representative of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, The Globe and Mail has proudly championed Canadian creativity on the world stage for 20 years.

Strategy Magazine, Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA), and the Canadian Media Directors’ Council (CMDC) support as partners of the Canadian Cannes Lions Program.
